New Delhi, 10th June, 2023: Former Union Cabinet Minister and senior BJP leader Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said here that Modi Ji has proved that a leader becomes great not by his power but by his commitment and conviction to empower the people.

While inaugurating Skill Centre of Excellence, established by Rotary Delhiites Foundation at Wazirpur in New Delhi, Shri Naqvi said that change comes not by chance, but by determination and dedication.

Shri Naqvi said that India’s “tag of poor country” has been replaced by the “fastest growing economy of the world”. The “disease of policy paralysis” before 2014, has been eradicated by determination to “reform, perform and transform” under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Shri Naqvi said that from being a “fragile five” economy before 2014, India has now transformed into the world’s fifth-largest economy under the leadership of Modi Ji. India has become one of most favoured investment destination and the country has today emerged as a prominent manufacturing centre.

Shri Naqvi said that India achieved a record export target of 770 billion dollars in 2022; India, which was at 142nd place in Ease of Doing Business in 2014, has now jumped to 63rd position.

Shri Naqvi said that India has become a more than three and a half trillion dollar economy; India has become world’s second largest mobile phone manufacturer. The country witnessed a record GST collection of 1.87 lakh crore in April, 2023.

Shri Naqvi said that during the last 9 years, the Modi Government has not only linked the deprived sections with the mainstream economy, but it has also ensured inclusive empowerment of all sections. The stability of India’s economy even after global tensions and problems, has increased the country’s credibility across the world. The entire world is looking at India with trust and hope.

Shri Naqvi said that India has the world’s largest youth population and skill development of our youths is the need of the hour.

Shri Naqvi said that the skill centre established by Rotary Delhiites Foundation will play an important role in employment oriented skill development of youths. The skill centre will offer employment oriented courses such as Customer Care Executive, Welding Technician, CNC Machine Operator, Equity Dealer and others.
