Noida, 05 June, 2016:My press release in Noida during “Vikas Parv”, organized on occasion of 2 years of NDA Government:

 

 Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said here that in last two years, the Narendra Modi Government has ensured uplift and over-all welfare of poor and needy by eliminating “middlemen and power brokers”.

Speaking at “Vikas Parv’ in Noida, organised on the occasion of 2 years of the BJP-led Government at the Centre, Shri Naqvi said that the Modi Government has worked with a complete honesty for socio-economic-educational empowerment of villages, poor, farmers, weaker sections, dalits, women and youths.

Shri Naqvi said that the Modi Government initiated measures to make India a “corruption free & development oriented” country by ensuring transparency and honesty at higher level in the Government. This has ensured that the people at higher positions have been working for welfare of poor people with complete honesty.

Shri Naqvi said that due to ‘Rashtraniti” of “Good Governance, Development & Progress” (GDP) of the Modi Government, Indian economy achieved a growth rate of 7.6 per cent in 2015-16. This was the highest among the big economies of the world. According to Central Statistical Office, this growth rate was also the highest in the country in previous five years.

Shri Naqvi said that only because of economic reforms initiated by the Modi Government, India has become one of the most attractive, safe places for FDI even in global economic crisis and challenges. India attracted FDI worth 63 Billion dollars in 2015.

Shri Naqvi said that despite of the fact that the NDA Government inherited a “legacy of corruption and scams” from the previous Congress Government, ensuring a corruption-free and development-oriented system has been the biggest achievement of the BJP-led Government. While on the one hand, this system has sent middlemen and power brokers into panic; on the other hand it has ensured that every single penny of the Government is being spent on welfare of the poor. Direct benefit transfer scheme “Pahal” has been very effective in this regard.

About Rs 61,822 crore has been directly deposited into bank accounts of about 31 crore people. Rs 36,500 crore have been saved due to “Pahal” as duplicity and leakage has been stopped. Earlier this money used to be looted by middlemen. “Pahal” scheme has become “Pahal” (initiative) to eliminate middlemen.

Shri Naqvi said that every welfare scheme of the Modi Government- “Jan Dhan Yojana”, “Atal Pension Yojana”, “Pradhanmantri Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana”, “Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana”, “Mudra Yojana”, “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”, “Fasal Bima Yojana”, “Ujjwala” has ensured over-all development of the poor.

Shri Naqvi said that ensuring “Har Hath Ko Rojgaar” (employment to everyone) is target of the Modi Government. “Stand up India”, “Start up India” schemes have turned youths of the country from job seekers to job creators. More than one crore youths have been provided training under “Skill India Mission”. In last two years, under “Mudra Yojna” loans worth Rs 1.37 lakh crore were approved till 31 March 2016. Loans have been given to more than 3.48 crore entrepreneurs out of which 79 % are women.

Shri Naqvi said that 28 crore people have been included in financial services through “Pradhanmantri Jan Dhan Yojna” in last two years. Social security cover has been provided to the common man through “Atal Pension Yojana” (25 lakh people), “Pradhanmantri Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana” (2.96 crore people) and “Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana” (9.43 crore people). Total 12.64 crore registrations have been done under social security schemes.

Shri Naqvi said that schemes to double the farmers’ income in next 5 years have been started. This is for the first time the Central Government has given priority to village and farmer by presenting a budget with focus on agriculture.

Shri Naqvi said that road and rail infrastructure has been developed with a great speed in these two years. More than 6000 KM National Highways were constructed in 2015-16. It means more than 12 KM roads were constructed every day. Earlier, it was below 8 KM. In 2015-16, 1780 KM railway lines have been constructed. Indian Railway has been laying 7 KM line every day, earlier it was below 4.3 KM every day. Under “Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojna”, target has been fixed to provide electricity to 18,452 un-electrified villages by 1 May, 2018. Till date, 7874 villages have been electrified.

Shri Naqvi said that 3.7 crore LPG connections have been given to poor people in last two years. Under “Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana”, free LPG connections will be given to 5 crores BPL families by 2019. Shri Naqvi said that the Modi Government’s ‘development-oriented policy” and “campaign of prosperity” has attracted attention of the entire world. The entire world is looking at India with a positive approach. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has become a strong acceptable global leader and India is marching towards becoming “Vishwa Guru”.
