New Delhi, 30 April, 2016:Salient points of my address at seminar organized on 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr B. R. Ambedkar at New Delhi:

 Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs & Minority Affairs Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said here that social equality and communal harmony is the key to society’s prosperity and country’s development.

Speaking at a seminar organized on life, philosophy and work of Dr B R Ambedkar, Shri Naqvi said that we will not be able to move forward in the race of development in the world until we make social equality and communal harmony as complete part of the society without any political bias and selfishness.

Shri Naqvi said that today India has been competing with developed countries of the world only because we have made as a part of our life, the Constitution and message of social equality given by Baba Saheb. We will have to further strengthen this harmony.

Shri Naqvi said that we will have to make India, the largest democracy of the world, a society based on social equality and communal harmony which becomes an ideal for the entire world. Our great personalities had started a campaign, movement in this regard. Mahatma Gandhi, B. R. Ambedkar, Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Dr Lohia strongly and effectively gave this message to the society.

Shri Naqvi said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been working with a strong commitment to the country’s prosperity with social equality.

Shri Naqvi said that social equality should also be visible in Parliament, state Assemblies, Panchayats, political parties. Not only reserved seats but also unreserved seats should get represented by people belonging to weaker sections.

Shri Naqvi said that the Modi Government has implemented the various welfare schemes at the ground level keeping in mind socio-economic-educational empowerment of villages, poor, farmers, weaker sections, minorities so that light of development reaches to the last person of the society.

Shri Naqvi said that welfare schemes, started by the Modi Government especially “Gramoday Se Bharat Uday” is a mission to make India, the country based on the principles of Dr Ambedkar and social equality.
