Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today offered a 'Chadar' on behalf of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at dargah of Sufi saint Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty, Ajmer Sharif and said harmony and unity in the society is the guarantee of India’s prosperity.

Shri Naqvi read out the message of Prime Minister in which Shri Modi greeted the followers of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in India and abroad on the occasion of 804th annual Urs.

Prime Minister, in his message, said Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti was an amazing example of our country’s great Sufi traditions. Garib Nawaz considered service to the humanity as best form of ‘Ibaadat’ (worship), it is a source of inspiration for us even today. The Prime Minister also wished that may the annual Urs bring peace and happiness across the world. He also wished for success of Urs.

Shri Naqvi said that we will have to strengthen this social base of harmony and unity. We can defeat the forces, who are engaged in the conspiracy to create divide and conflict in the society, only with the help of this strength of harmony and unity in the society. This strength has defeated the challenge of terrorism always.

Shri Naqvi said that “Development of the country and trust of the people” is the only commitment of NDA Government under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Our Government has been moving forward with the commitment to over-all development and empowerment of every section of the society- poor people, farmers, youths, women, weaker sections and Minorities.

Shri Naqvi said that no negative agenda will be allowed to dominate development agenda. Some political parties have been engaged in baseless debate even on the sensitive issue of nationalism, they have been trying to divide the society to block the country’s development process. These people are not able to digest the development works initiated by the Modi Government because they were making efforts of misguiding the people for a long time.

Shri Naqvi said patriotism is in the DNA of every Indian; every Indian has the passion to protect country’s pride.

Shri Naqvi said that terrorism and radicalism has been failed to establish its roots in India because of social-religious unity and harmony of the country. But we have to remain alert so that the evil forces, who want to disturb world peace, prosperity and security misusing religion as their security cover, can be defeated.

Shri Naqvi said that “effective commitment to world peace” is the message of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Khawaja Saheb’s message is a strong weapon to protect human values and defeat nefarious designs of terror forces.

After offering the ‘Chadar’, Shri Naqvi along with thousands of people gathered at Dargah expressed their condolences with families of those killed in heart-rending fire incident at a temple in Kerala’s Kollam. They also prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
