Speeches

Rampur, 08th Oct, 2019:Salient points of my speech at "Jan Chaupal" at Chamraua in Rampur today:

Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said here that there should not be an atmosphere of “confusion or fear” over the National Register of Citizens (NRC) as there is no threat to citizenship of any Indian citizen.

While interacting with people at “Jan Chaupal” at Chamrauva in Rampur today, Shri Naqvi said that there will be no discrimination in the identification process of illegal immigrants. The people will get several opportunities to prove their citizenship.

Shri Naqvi said that it is unfortunate that some people with vested interests are trying to create an atmosphere of “confusion, fear and panic” over NRC issue. We should remain cautious of conspiracy of such elements.

Shri Naqvi said that the Modi Government's intention is to identify illegal immigrants. No nation can afford the illegal population explosion. The issue of illegal immigration is there for a long time. People have been against the infiltration of foreigners for a long time. We cannot ignore it. The right of true citizens should be protected at all costs.

Shri Naqvi said that the NRC process has been going on under the guidance of the Supreme Court from 2013. There should not be any “communal politics” over the NRC issue. The Modi Government considers NRC issue purely as an issue related to national security and national interest.

Shri Naqvi said that the Modi government has been working towards development, empowerment and national security with complete honesty. Our Government is moving forward with the commitment to "Inclusive Growth” and "Development without Discrimination".

Shri Naqvi said that the Modi Government is a symbol of hope for all the needy sections of the society. Be it construction of 10 crore toilets across the country under "Swachh Bharat Mission", providing medical facilities to 10 crore needy under "Ayushman Bharat" within a year, construction of 2 crore houses for the poor, providing more than 8 crore free gas connections to poor women under "Ujjwala Yojana", linking 37 crore people to banking services for the first time, providing easy loan under “Mudra Yojna” to more than 20 crore people, the Modi Government has ensured “happiness in eyes and prosperity in life” of the common man.

Shri Naqvi said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took many historic decisions like removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, which the people of the country had been waiting for 70 years. Strengthening national security by amending the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act is a result of nationalistic will of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Modi Government will leave no stone unturned for development, welfare and security of the country.

Shri Naqvi said that today India's economy is growing rapidly and to further strengthen the economy, the Modi Government has taken historic and major decisions in last few days. One of these key decisions include the step to cut corporate tax. These steps will play an important role in achieving the goal of making the Indian economy a five trillion dollar economy in the next five years.
