Mumbai, 31st August, 2019: Union Minority Affairs Minister Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said here that "SEP" (security, economy and prosperity) of the country is in "safe and honest hands".

During inauguration function of Transport Union of BJP in Mumbai, Shri Naqvi said that various historic and bold reforms and people friendly system is the guarantee of strong India.

Shri Naqvi said that historic economic reforms such as GST and demonetization have ensured strong and stable economy.

Shri Naqvi said that infrastructure development in the country is on priority of the Modi Government. The Modi Government has been taking several steps to make India a 5 trillion dollar economy.

Now, there will be 12 public sector banks. The Centre has announced the merger of 10 nationalised banks into four entities. Canara Bank and Syndicate Bank will be merged. Union Bank of India, Andhra Bank, Corporation Bank will be merged. Indian Bank is being merged with Allahabad Bank. Punjab National Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, and United Bank will also be merged.

Shri Naqvi said that the Modi Government has taken strict action against economic corruption. 3 lakh shell companies have been closed.

Shri Naqvi said that recently the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the proposal for Review of Foreign Direct Investment on various sectors. The changes in FDI policy will result in making India a more attractive FDI destination, leading to benefits of increased investments, employment and growth.

In the coal sector, for sale of coal, 100% FDI under automatic route for coal mining, activities including associated processing infrastructure will attract international players to create an efficient and competitive coal market.
Further, manufacturing through contract contributes equally to the objective of Make in India. FDI now being permitted under automatic route in contract manufacturing will be a big boost to Manufacturing sector in India.

Shri Naqvi said that the Modi Government is committed to national security. Scrapping 370 is the result of strong nationalist policy of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. Removal of 370 will clear the way for solving 370 problems of Jammu, Kashmir, Laddakh and will ensure over-all development of the region.

While talking about various development activities of the Minority Affairs Ministry, Shri Naqvi said that "Inclusive Growth" and "Development with Dignity" of all sections including Minorities is the priority of the Modi Government. In the next 5 years, about 25 lakh youths from Minority communities will be provided employment oriented skill training. In the next 5 years, 5 crore students including 50 per cent girls, will be given various scholarships.
