Kargil (J&K), 01st May, 2019: Salient points of my speech at Kargil in Jammu and Kashmir

Union Minister and senior BJP leader Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said here that the policy of “Inclusive Growth” of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has created “marks of development” from Kanyakumari to Kargil.

Addressing a public meeting at Kargil in Jammu and Kashmir in favour of Shri Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, BJP candidate from Ladakh Lok Sabha seat, Shri Naqvi said that the Central Government led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched “Jihad against corruption” which has created panic and depression among those who were involved in loot of public money from Kanyakumari to Kargil.

Shri Naqvi said that had even 20 percent of the total money came for development of Jammu and Kashmir since the Independence been spent honestly, there would not have been a single problem remained in Kashmir. Those people who ruled the state most of the time, they were engaged in filling their own coffer instead of working for the welfare of the needy common man of the state.

Shri Naqvi said that, but during the last five years, Jammu and Kashmir’s “Development with Dignity” has been the commitment of the Modi Government. We will carry forward this commitment.

Shri Naqvi said that the Modi Government at the Centre initiated several development projects for Jammu and Kashmir worth about Rs 2 lakh crore during the last 5 years. Be it is the Zojila Tunnel that connects the rest of India with Leh or Kishan Ganga project in Bandipora or the Hydro Power Project on the Chinab river in Kishtwar region, all these projects have opened up a new door for the happiness for Jammu & Kashmir.

Shri Naqvi said that the development projects include foundation stone laying of new AIIMS at Awantipora (Srinagar) and Vijaypur (Samba); 624 MW Kiru Hydroelectric project and 850 Megawatt Ratle Hydro Electric project in Kishtwar, Jammu; 9 MW Dah Hydroelectric project in Dah near Datang village and 220 KV Srinagar-Alusteng-Drass- Kargil–Leh transmission system; new terminal building of Kushok Bakula Rimpochee (KBR) Airport in Leh; Ladakh Cluster University. Also a few changes have been made in the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Act and the Council has been given more rights concerning the expenditures.

Besides, lakhs of people of Jammu and Kashmir have been benefitted from Centre’s welfare schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana etc.

Shri Naqvi said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has constructed “High-way of Development and Good Governance” by demolishing “Political One-way of corruption, caste, community and misrule”.

Shri Naqvi said that the people of the country don’t want “Jugaad aur Jod Tod Ki Sarkaar”, they want “Spasth Janadesh Ki Sarkar” under the leadership of Shri Modi. The 2019 Lok Sabha election is an election between “Confused Mahagathbandhan” and “Committed NDA”.
