New Delhi, 09th May, 2020: Governing Body meeting of Maulana Azad Education Foundation was held through video conferencing in New Delhi today. Different educational, employment oriented skill development programmes and bridge courses were discussed in detail and future course of action was decided. It was decided in the meeting to carry forward the employment oriented training of Health Assistant and Hospitality Facilitator and other educational programmes according to the current needs. All officials and other staff of Maulana Azad Education Foundation decided to contribute their one day salary in “PM Cares” fund to fight Corona pandemic. AMU VC, who is also Member of MAEF Governing Body, informed that AMU has contributed Rs 1.40 crore in “PM-CARES” fund. AMU Medical College has also arranged 100 beds for treatment of Corona patients. AMU has also arranged Corona tests, 9000 tests have been done till now. AMU will also distribute N-95 Masks, PPEs, ventilators etc worth Rs 3 crore to the needy.1500 Health Care Assistants have been trained under Garib Nawaz Self Employment Scheme and they are contributing in the fight against Corona pandemic.
