Mumbai, 30th Nov, 2019: Today attended valedictory session of training of Madarsa teachers organised by Union Minority Affairs Ministry. These teachers have been provided training in mainstream formal education at Anjuman-e-Islam in Mumbai. Also distributed certificates to Madarsa teachers. Besides religious teaching, Urdu, Arabic, other languages; Madrasa teachers are also being provided training for subjects like Hindi, Maths, English, Science, Computer etc. It has ensured students of Madrasas also become part of development process by getting mainstream education. These teachers are being provided training from reputed institutions of the country such as IIT, Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Jamia Hamdard, Anjuman-e-Islam and others. It is heartening that these teachers include a large number of female teachers.Under the programme to connect Madrasas with formal education, more than 300 teachers from Madrasas from various states have been trained by Ministry of Minority Affairs in the first six months of Modi Government-2.More than 500 school dropout students have been provided bridge course by the Ministry of Minority Affairs in the last six months. They have also been provided Intermediate certificate so that either they can continue higher studies or get a job.
